Operations Manager

Jeff

Jeff is the Operations Manager at Pristine Press & Media, and if the company runs smoothly, it’s largely because Jeff makes sure it does. Jeff oversees how the whole operation fits together: the people, the process, and the standards behind them, so that every author gets the same careful, professional experience from first call to launch day. That means designing the workflows the rest of the team runs on, making sure projects are properly staffed and resourced, and holding the business accountable to the promises we make: transparent pricing, everything in writing, and your rights and royalties kept fully yours.

When a project needs an extra push or a decision needs to be made, Jeff is the one who steps in and makes the call. Authors may not always interact with Jeff day to day, but Jeff’s fingerprints are on the experience throughout: in the way the team communicates, the way problems get solved quickly and honestly, and the way each finished book lands at the standard we hold ourselves to. In the simplest terms, Jeff’s job is to make sure Pristine is a company authors can trust, and to keep it that way, one project at a time.

Project Manager

Reno

Reno leads project management at Pristine Press & Media, which in plain terms means Reno is the person making sure your book actually gets where it’s going: on time, in order, and without anything slipping through the cracks. From the moment a project kicks off, Reno maps every stage of the journey (editing, design, proofing, ISBN and metadata setup, distribution) into a clear schedule with real dates, then keeps every moving part in sync so you always know what’s happening now and what’s coming next.

Authors often tell us that publishing feels overwhelming; Reno’s whole job is to make it feel calm and orderly instead. When your manuscript needs to move from your editor to your designer, when a proof is waiting on your sign-off, when a file has to be prepped just right for print and distribution, Reno is the steady hand coordinating it all behind the scenes, chasing down the details so you don’t have to. Nothing ships without being accounted for, and no question sits unanswered for long. If you ever wonder exactly where your book stands, Reno is the person with the answer.

Check-In Coordinator

Kevin

Kevin is our check-in coordinator, and for most authors, Kevin is the friendly, reassuring voice they hear from most in the early stretch of a project. Getting a book into production means gathering a surprising number of pieces: your final manuscript, images and permissions, your author bio, back-cover copy, and approvals at each stage. Kevin’s role is to make that whole submission process painless.

Kevin walks you through exactly what’s needed and when, sends clear and timely reminders so nothing slips, checks that every document you hand over is complete and in the right format, and follows up the moment something’s missing so a small gap never becomes a delay. Not sure how to export a file, what a form is really asking for, or whether you’ve sent the right version? Kevin is who you ask, and no question is ever too small. Think of Kevin as your personal guide through the paperwork, turning what could be a confusing scramble into a simple, step-by-step handoff that keeps your project moving.

Production Management Associate

Karen

Karen is our production management associate, working alongside the project and production teams to keep quality high and clients well supported at every turn. Once your materials are in, Karen helps shepherd them through production, coordinating with editors, designers, and formatters, tracking revisions, and double-checking that each version is the right one before it moves on to the next stage.

Karen is also a dependable point of support for authors. If you have a question about where something stands, need a status update, or simply want to understand a step in the process, Karen is quick to respond and genuinely glad to help. Detail-oriented by nature, Karen catches the small things (a mismatched file, a missing approval, a formatting inconsistency) before they can turn into problems down the line. The result is a smoother production process and a finished book that meets the standard we hold ourselves to. Karen’s steady support is a big part of why our authors feel genuinely taken care of, from first draft to launch day.
